Asif beat Loui­son to reach World Snooker knock­outs

Demon­strat­ing an­other pow­er­ful game, Pak­istan's Mo­ham­mad Asif stormed into the knock-out rounds of IBSF World Snooker Cham­pi­onship in Sofia, Bul­garia, when he out­pot­ted Fabian Loui­son of Canada 4-0 on Tues­day evening, APP re­ported.

With his third straight win in pool "H", Asif main­tained his top spot in the five-men group. The 30-year-old Asif, who lost in the last 32 round in the World Cham­pi­onship in Hy­der­abad, In­dia, last year pro­duced a spec­tac­u­lar pot­ting and safety play against Loui­son. Na­tional Cham­pion Asif faced a some re­sis­tance in the first two frames, But out­classed his French op­po­nent to chalk out an im­pres­sive 67-31, 81-28, 7808, 71-18 vic­tory. Asif's form can be gauged from the fact that he has dropped just one frame in his three league matches so far. Top three play­ers from each group will ad­vance in knock­out rounds.
