PU pro­grams to be tele­casted on VU TV

Pun­jab Univer­sity and Vir­tual Univer­sity have signed a Mem­o­ran­dum of Un­der­stand­ing which agrees that both would share air­time in their FM and TV chan­nels re­spec­tively. The MoU sign­ing cer­e­mony was held at Com­mit­tee Room of Vice Chan­cel­lor's of­fice in which PU Vice Chan­cel­lor Prof Dr Mu­jahid Kam­ran, Ad­vi­sor Vir­tual Univer­sity Prof Dr Naveed Ma­lik, Man­ag­ing Di­rec­tor VU Ta­j­dar Alam, Di­rec­tor Ex­ter­nal Link­ages Maria I Mal­don­ado, Prin­ci­pal PUCIT Prof Dr Man­soor Sar­war, Di­rec­tor In­sti­tute of Com­mu­ni­ca­tion Stud­ies Prof Dr Ah­san Akhter Naz, As­sis­tant Prof Amir Bajwa and oth­ers were present on the oc­ca­sion. Ac­cord­ing to the MoU, now PU's news, aca­demic pro­grammes, doc­u­men­taries etc will be aired on Vir­tual Univer­sity's TV chan­nel and Vir­tual Univer­sity will also uti­lize air­time of PU's FM 104.6. On the oc­ca­sion, Prof Dr Mu­jahid Kam­ran said that Pun­jab Univer­sity and Vir­tual Univer­sity both would ben­e­fit from each other's ex­pe­ri­ences which would strengthen higher ed­u­ca­tion in coun­try.

Dr Naveed Ma­lik said that Vir­tual Univer­sity was ben­e­fit­ting from Pun­jab Univer­sity and Dr Man­soor Sar­war had also played his role in course devel­op­ment. Ta­j­dar Alam said that there would be no charges on air­time shar­ing which would be ben­e­fi­cial for both of the univer­si­ties.
