Ready for any US sanctions, says Dr Asim
Not withstanding any pressure, President Asif Ali Zardari and his Iranian counterpart Mahmood Ahmdi Nisad will sign agreement on Monday for laying the gas pipeline between the two countries.
This was stated by Advisor on Petroleum Dr. Asim Hussain while talking to the media in Islamabad.
He said Pak-Iran Gas Pipeline project is inevitable to meet our energy needs and it will be completed at all cost.
He said the government will implement this project despite international pressures. He said we are ready to face any form of US sanctions in this regard. Dr. Asim said an agreement to set up an oil refinery at Gwadar with a capacity to produce 4 hundred thousand tons oil daily will also be signed on the occasion.
