A se­nior leader of the Pak­istan Peo­ples Party in Sindh, Na­bil Gabol, on Sun­day an­nounced his shock­ing de­ci­sion to join Mut­tahida Qaumi Move­ment.

Sources said party's var­i­ous de­ci­sions, in­clud­ing or­der­ing op­er­a­tion in Karachi's Lyari area which is Gabol's con­stituency, forced him to part his ways with PPP. Gabol was elected as a Mem­ber of MNA from Lyari in 2008 elec­tions on PPP ticket.

He has served as a Min­is­ter of Ports and Ship­ping in 2011. How­ever, he later re­signed from his of­fice, cit­ing his pow­er­less­ness in serv­ing the peo­ple of Lyari. Na­bil Gabol is the Chief Sar­dar of the Gabol Baloch tribe in Karachi, Baran, Ja­cob­a­bad, Sibi, Dadu, Kash­more, Ghotki, Badin, Alipur, Ra­jan­pur and many other ar­eas in­clud­ing Gabols in Saudi Arabia.
