Khoso vows to hold fair, free, trans­par­ent polls

Care­taker Prime Min­is­ter­des­ig­nate Jus­tice ( retd) Mir Hazar Khan Khoso Sun­day said that hold­ing fair, free and trans­par­ent elec­tions was his top pri­or­ity.

Talk­ing to news­men here at the Balochis­tan House, Jus­tice Khoso said that con­duct­ing elec­tions was the re­spon­si­bil­ity of Elec­tion Com­mis­sion of Pak­istan (ECP) and the care­taker government would ex­tend its full co­op­er­a­tion and as­sis­tance to the ECP in dis­charg­ing its du­ties. He said that the care­taker fed­eral government would help the pro­vin­cial gov­ern­ments main­tain law and or­der, which was ba­si­caaly their re­spon­si­bil­ity.

Re­ply­ing to a ques­tion, Jus­tice Khoso said that no ef­fort would be made to ex­tend the ten­ure of care­taker government, whose top pri­or­ity would be to hold fair, free and im­par­tial elec­tions ac­cord­ing to the sched­ule an­nounced by the Elec­tion Com­mis­sion of Pak­istan.
