SBP slashes ATM trans­ac­tion charges for

KARACHI: In or­der to save ben­e­fi­cia­ries from ex­tra fi­nan­cial bur­den, State Bank of Pak­istan (SBP) has de­cided to waive In­ter-Switch Fee / Charges on fi­nan­cial and non­fi­nan­cial trans­ac­tions ex­e­cuted by card hold­ers of Khid­mat Cards on ATM ma­chines coun­try­wide with im­me­di­ate ef­fect. Gov­ern­ment of Punjab has es­tab­lished Punjab So­cial Pro­tec­tion Au­thor­ity (PSPA) to launch a tar­geted cash trans­fer pro­gram for dis­abled and poor peo­ple un­der the aus­pices of "Khid­mat Card". To en­sure pro­vi­sion of max­i­mum op­tions, the ben­e­fi­cia­ries would be able to with­draw cash through ATMs of all Fi­nan­cial In­sti­tu­tions (FIs) through­out the coun­try.
