SC ad­journs Is­lam­abad LB elec­tion case till 27th

The Supreme Court on Mon­day ad­journed hear­ing of the case re­gard­ing hold­ing of Lo­cal Bod­ies Elec­tion in the fed­eral cap­i­tal till Au­gust 27.

The three-mem­ber bench headed by Jus­tice Jawwad S. Khawaja and com­pris­ing Jus­tice Dost Muham­mad Khan and Jus­tice Maq­bool Baqar heard the case re­gard­ing hold­ing of Lo­cal Bod­ies Elec­tion in Is­lam­abad. Dur­ing the course of pro­ceed­ing, Aamir Rehman Ad­di­tional At­tor­ney Gen­eral in­formed the court that the Pres­i­dent had signed the lo­cal bod­ies elec­tion.

He said that elec­toral rules and reg­u­la­tions have been pre­pared which would be up­loaded on the In­te­rior Min­is­tery web­site. He said that sug­ges­tions and ob­jec­tions would be sought from gen­eral public in the 15 days and later fi­nal no­ti­fi­ca­tion would be is­sued in this re­gard.
