Vic­tim fam­i­lies hes­i­tant to file pleas

KA­SUR: Trou­bled fam­i­lies on Thurs­day are re­ported to be hes­i­tant in fil­ing pleas against child abuse cul­prits while another case has been reg­is­tered against crim­i­nals af­ter sec­ond video clip sur­faced.

Ear­lier, Anti-Ter­ror­ism Court (ATC) had granted phys­i­cal re­mands of as many as 12 cul­prits out of 15 nom­i­nated. Po­lice are in process of in­ter­ro­ga­tion. Sev­eral af­fected fam­i­lies had pre­pared pleas on Au­gust 12 while some were fi­nalised at least two days ago. How­ever, not a sin­gle fam­ily has ap­proached the lo­cal po­lice sta­tion in this re­gard.

Re­port­edly, ma­jor­ity of the fam­i­lies are afraid of the "in­flu­en­tial" crim­i­nals in the case. Sep­a­rately, another case has been filed in Ganda Sindh Wala Po­lice Sta­tion af­ter sec­ond clip of child abuse sur­faced. The author­i­ties have pre­pared a he­li­pad in the area which hints Chief Min­is­ter (CM) Shah­baz Sharif's visit any­time.
