Meezan Bank's staffer gets Fe­male Is­lamic Banker of Year Award

KARACHI: Meezan Bank VP/ Prod­uct Man­ager Lab­baik Hajj & Um­rah - Shazia Zu­beri has been hon­ored with "Fe­male Is­lamic Banker of the Year" at the Is­lamic Fi­nance Awards 2015 cer­e­mony or­ga­nized by Emend Pvt. Ltd. at Karachi. The pur­pose of the event was to rec­og­nize the ef­forts of the prom­i­nent Is­lamic Bankers in the in­dus­try. Ms. Zu­beri has been as­so­ci­ated with Meezan Bank for the last 11 years and is cur­rently man­ag­ing Lab­baik Hajj & Um­rah for the Bank. A pi­o­neer in Is­lamic bank­ing, Ms. Zu­beri suc­cess­fully man­aged the ini­tia­tive of col­lec­tion of Hajj ap­pli­ca­tions through Meezan Bank's branches for the Gov­ern­ment's Hajj Scheme and through this ini­tia­tive, this year the Bank will In­sha'Al­lah fa­cil­i­tate 4,500 Hajj Pil­grims. The win­ning of this award is a tes­ta­ment to Meezan's com­mit­ment to gen­der di­ver­sity. The Bank strongly be­lieves in em­pow­er­ing women and sup­port­ing them in their pur­suit of pro­fes­sional achieve­ments and ca­reer path.
