Rs 5 lac to be paid to heirs of Hajj pil­grim

A to­tal of Rs 500,000 would be paid to the heirs of an in­tend­ing pil­grim in case of death and Rs 50,000 in case of ac­ci­den­tal dis­abil­ity of one limb, said an of­fi­cial of Min­istry of Re­li­gious Af­fairs and In­ter­faith Har­mony.

He said Rs 100,000 would be paid on per­ma­nent dis­able­ment of more than one limb, Rs 300,000 in case of emer­gency evac­u­a­tion of pil­grim from Saudia due to ill­ness.

More than 139 build­ings have been hired to ac­com­mo­date gov­ern­ment scheme Hu­j­jaj. Hajj mis­sion would com­prise of 450 Haj Med­i­cal Mis­sion, 450 Moavi­neen-eHu­j­jaj, 200 sea­sonal staff of Min­istry of Re­li­gious Af­fairs and In­ter­faith Har­mony. Also 400 lo­cal Moavi­neen-e-Hu­j­jaj have been de­puted in Saudi Ara­bia to fa­cil­i­tate Hu­j­jaj.

Mean­while the min­istry has asked in­tend­ing pil­grims to sub­mit their com­plaints through Hajj helpline avail­able round the clock to fa­cil­i­tate the pil­grims. The in­tend­ing pil­grims of both gov­ern­ment as well as pri­vate scheme can register their com­plaints in Pak­istan on 042 111 725425, the min­istry has ded­i­cated a num­ber 800 1166622 for reg­is­ter­ing com­plaints in Saudi Ara­bia. The pil­grims while re­sid­ing in Saudi Ara­bia could also register their com­plaints on 0092 42 35880054 to Pak­istan.
