PPP leader Akhundzada Chat­tan's son re­cov­ered from Ba­jaur

PESHAWAR: The mi­nor son of PPP Cen­tral Ex­ec­u­tive Com­mit­tee mem­ber Syed Akhun­zada Chat­tan, who was ab­ducted a day ear­lier by uniden­ti­fied per­sons, was re­cov­ered in Ba­jaur Agency on Tues­day.

The 11-year-old Hus­sain Shah, who is cur­rently in the cus­tody of the po­lit­i­cal ad­min­is­tra­tion, was re­cov­ered from the Ut­mankhel area of Ba­jaur Agency.

Ac­cord­ing to sources in the po­lit­i­cal ad­min­is­tra­tion, the kid­nap­pers re­leased the MNA's son in a grave­yard near Ba­jaur's main town of Khar, from where the boy was re­cov­ered in a sound state.

As­sis­tant po­lit­i­cal agent Khar told DawnNews that af­ter Shah was ab­ducted yesterday, se­cu­rity forces con­ducted a thor­ough search and strike op­er­a­tion in the area which forced the kid­nap­pers to re­lease the child.

Of­fi­cials and fam­ily mem­bers had ear­lier told Dawn that Shah, along with his younger brother, was wait­ing for their school bus out­side his res­i­dence when uniden­ti­fied masked men whisked him away in a car. Lo­cal res­i­dents said Levies per­son­nel, who were as­signed the duty to pro­vide se­cu­rity to the for­mer MNA's fam­ily, opened fir­ing on the kid­nap­pers but they man­aged to es­cape.
