NGOs seek dis­cus­sion on bill be­fore tabling in assem­bly

PESHAWAR: Non-Gov­ern­ment Or­ga­ni­za­tions (NGOs) Tues­day de­manded of pro­vin­cial gov­ern­ment to hold con­sul­ta­tions with stake­hold­ers be­fore tabling leg­is­la­tions in the assem­bly.

The call was made at a con­sul­ta­tive meet­ing on "Chal­lenges and way for­ward" or­ga­nized by Pakhtunkhwa Civil So­ci­ety Net­work here at Peshawar Press Club.

The meet­ing was at­tended by Pro­gram Of­fi­cer of Au­rat Foun­da­tion Shereen Javed, Pro­gramme Man­ager Saima Mu­nir, Re­gional Head of Strength­en­ing Part­ner­ship Or­ga­ni­za­tion (SPO) Ar­shad Ha­roon, Kh­wando Kor Head Maryam Bibi, Re­gional Head of Shirkat Gah Saira Bano and oth­ers mem­bers of civil so­ci­ety at­tended the meet­ing. They said that the NGOs were play­ing a role dur­ing in nat­u­ral dis­as­ters and ed­u­ca­tion and health sec­tor.
