Twelve die in road ac­ci­dents in Punjab

LA­HORE: Twelve peo­ple died and over a dozen sus­tained in­juries in three dif­fer­ent road ac­ci­dents in Punjab on Sun­day. Five peo­ple, in­clud­ing two chil­dren, were killed and four in­jured when a bus hit a rick­shaw on Jam­pur Road in Dera Ghazi Khan. Three peo­ple died and four oth­ers were in­jured in a col­li­sion be­tween a bus and a rick­shaw on Arifwala Road in Sahi­wal.

In yet another ac­ci­dent, four peo­ple were killed and sev­eral oth­ers in­jured when two ve­hi­cles col­lided near Fakhar Check­point in Mian­wali. Punjab Chief Min­is­ter Muham­mad Shah­baz Sharif has ex­pressed deep sense of shock and grief over the loss of pre­cious lives and sym­pa­thised with be­reaved fam­i­lies. He di­rected hos­pi­tal author­i­ties to pro­vide best pos­si­ble treat­ment to the in­jured.
