PRA collects Rs 4b in July
LAHORE: Punjab Revenue Authority collected more than Rs 4.4 billion revenue during the month of July.
According to details, this was a remarkable achievement considering that after the financial year-end month of June, historically, there is a significant drop in revenue collection. The collection of July 2015 was Rs.600 million more than what was collected in July 2014.
Significant improvements were seen in collection with respect to contractual execution of work or furnishing supplies, withholding agents, construction services, manpower supplies, software or IT based system development consultants, port operators, cargo services, auto-workshops, erection, commissioning and installation services, laboratories, cardealers, advertisements, management consultancies. PRA's strong revenue performance has been backed by a robust enforcement drive in major population centres in Punjab which has helped in establishing the writ of the Authority on various service sector businesses which were in the past not being properly monitored.
