UAE, Gabon sign open skies agree­ment

DUBAI: The United Arab Emi­rates has signed an open skies agree­ment with African coun­try Gabon, al­low­ing for un­re­stricted flights be­tween the two coun­tries by their na­tional car­ri­ers. A Mem­o­ran­dum of Un­der­stand­ing be­tween the two coun­tries was signed by their re­spec­tive civil avi­a­tion author­i­ties, ac­cord­ing to an emailed state­ment from the UAE Gen­eral Civil Avi­a­tion Au­thor­ity (GCAA) on Wed­nes­day (to­day). The agree­ment al­lows "full flex­i­bil­ity on the routes, ca­pac­ity, num­ber of fre­quen­cies and types of air­craft, in any type of ser­vice (pas­sen­ger or cargo)."
