China assures Pakistan for timely completion of energy projects
LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said Pak-China Economic Forum is joint vision of the leadership of both the countries.
Addressing meeting of Chinese entrepreneurs in Beijing, he said visit of the Chinese president to Pakistan has given a message to the whole world that nobody can pay harm to the Pak-China friendship. Earlier, in his meeting with officials of Sinosure Power Company in Beijing, he said he wants completion of the power project of five thousand megawatt electricity by the end of 2017. The Chinese officials assured him for the timely completion of energy projects.
Meanwhile, China has shown interest in constructing as many as eight power projects on River Sindh that will produce at least 35,000 Mega Watt (MW) electricity. Chinese power company's delegation held a meeting with Minister for Water and Power Khawaja Asif in the federal capital. The meeting discussed different power projects having importance for both Pakistan and China.
