Ahsan wants Pakistan as 25th strong economy of world by 2025
ISLAMABAD: The Minister for Planning Development and Reforms Ahsan Iqbal here on Thursday reiterated that Pakistan would be made the 25th stable and strongest economy by 2025. He stated this while addressing "Thought Leaders Summit 2016" here. The Minister on the occasion stressed the need for exploiting the country's human resource for socioecomomic development. Ahsan Iqbal strongly condemned the terrorist attack on Bacha Khan University Charsada and said such kind of cowardly acts could not deter the government's resolve to root out the terrorism from the country.
The Minister said that political stability was important for economic stability to achieve the development goals and the government was taking all steps to achieve thess objectives. Highlighting the vision 2025, the Minister said that reforms in public sector and human resource development were important part of the vision. "The work on civil service reforms is in progress while we will prepare model educational curriculum in 2016" he remarked.
