Ah­san wants Pak­istan as 25th strong econ­omy of world by 2025

IS­LAM­ABAD: The Min­is­ter for Plan­ning De­vel­op­ment and Re­forms Ah­san Iqbal here on Thurs­day re­it­er­ated that Pak­istan would be made the 25th sta­ble and strong­est econ­omy by 2025. He stated this while ad­dress­ing "Thought Lead­ers Sum­mit 2016" here. The Min­is­ter on the oc­ca­sion stressed the need for ex­ploit­ing the coun­try's hu­man re­source for so­cioe­co­momic de­vel­op­ment. Ah­san Iqbal strongly con­demned the ter­ror­ist at­tack on Bacha Khan Univer­sity Charsada and said such kind of cow­ardly acts could not de­ter the govern­ment's re­solve to root out the ter­ror­ism from the coun­try.

The Min­is­ter said that political sta­bil­ity was im­por­tant for eco­nomic sta­bil­ity to achieve the de­vel­op­ment goals and the govern­ment was tak­ing all steps to achieve thess ob­jec­tives. High­light­ing the vi­sion 2025, the Min­is­ter said that re­forms in pub­lic sec­tor and hu­man re­source de­vel­op­ment were im­por­tant part of the vi­sion. "The work on civil ser­vice re­forms is in progress while we will pre­pare model ed­u­ca­tional cur­ricu­lum in 2016" he re­marked.
