TI report validates Govt’s will against corruption: KPCCI
Leaders of business community and politicians of Khyber Pakthunkhwa here Thursday said the report of Transparency International has validated the efforts of Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) government against the menace of corruption and termed it a good omen for attracting direct foreign investment in the country.
The Khyber Pakthunkhwa Chamber of Commerce and Industry former President, Yousaf Sarwar told APP the recent report of Transparency International was of prime importance for Pakistan as it has verified improvement and transparency in country's governance. "Corruption hampers process of development, industrialization, leads to terrorism and adversely affect the performance of the departments," he said, the report has endorsed the present Government efforts against corruption and Pakistan's image has been improved world over.
This would not only restore the confidence of foreign investors to invest in Pakistan but would repatriate local investors to install industries that would alleviate poverty and generate employment opportunities in the country, he said.
