PTI fails to prove votes’ transference in NA-122 by-election
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has failed to support its accusations against the ruling party in NA-122 reelection case before the election commission. The commission has rejected PTI s petition seeking nullification of the re-election results that was held in October 2015. However, the commission has taken up PTI on Right to Information Article 19-A and summoned copies of electoral lists in the constituency. Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) said that NA-122 by-election results could not be annulled under People's Representation Act Section 103-AA. Bogus affidavits were submitted in the court regarding transference of votes, he added. The CEC said that the commission reserves right to pursue action against false submissions. Ruling party's Talal Chaudhry said that PTI lost every single election including local government (LG) elections against Pakistan Muslim League-e-Nawaz (PML-N).
