Pres­i­dent for ad­dress­ing is­sues of small, medium in­dus­tries

Pres­i­dent Mam­noon Hus­sain has called for ad­dress­ing the is­sues of small and medium in­dus­tries and urged upon cham­bers of com­merce and in­dus­try to play a con­struc­tive role for re­solv­ing their prob­lems. The Pres­i­dent em­pha­sized that mea­sures should be taken to in­crease the coun­try's ex­ports and hoped that through their hard work traders and in­dus­tri­al­ists can bol­ster ex­ports man­i­fold.

The Pres­i­dent said this while talk­ing to a del­e­ga­tion of Rawalpindi Cham­ber of Com­merce & In­dus­try (RCCI) which headed by its Pres­i­dent Mian Hu­mayun Parvez called on him at the Ai­wan-e-Sadr, Is­lam­abad on Tues­day.

The Pres­i­dent stated that the govern­ment is pro­vid­ing all pos­si­ble in­cen­tives to traders and in­dus­tri­al­ists for fur­ther en­hanc­ing the coun­try's ex­ports. The Pres­i­dent em­pha­sized that cham­bers of com­merce and in­dus­try should strive to fur­ther jack up the ex­ports through co­or­di­nated mar­ket­ing ef­forts in li­ai­son with the for­eign mis­sions in Pak­istan. The Pres­i­dent said that it is the re­spon­si­bil­ity of busi­ness com­mu­nity to un­mask the tax evaders from within their ranks.

Pres­i­dent RCCI, Mian Hu­mayun Parvez lauded the eco­nomic poli­cies of the govern­ment and ex­pressed his sup­port for China-Pak­istan Eco­nomic Cor­ri­dor projects for progress and pros­per­ity in the coun­try and said that the Metro Bus pro­ject has pro­vided mod­ern and com­fort­able trans­port fa­cil­i­ties to the pub­lic. He also thanked the Pres­i­dent for tak­ing keen in­ter­est in re­solv­ing the is­sues of busi­ness com­mu­nity.

Sep­a­rately, a del­e­ga­tion of Al-Shifa Eye Trust Hos­pi­tal headed by Lt. Gen. ® Hamid Javaid also called on the Pres­i­dent at the Ai­wan-e- Sadr. Talk­ing to the del­e­ga­tion, the Pres­i­dent lauded the ser­vices of Al-Shifa Eye Trust hos­pi­tal for hu­man­ity and also re­called his cher­ished meet­ings with the late founder of the in­sti­tu­tion Lt. Gen. ® Ja­han­dad.

The Pres­i­dent laid em­pha­sis on pro­vid­ing ad­di­tional ser­vices in the Sukkur branch of Al-Shifa hos­pi­tal and called upon the doc­tors to serve the hu­man­ity in far-flung ar­eas as well. Lt. Gen. ® Hamid Javaid ap­prised the Pres­i­dent that each year three hun­dred thou­sand chil­dren are suf­fer­ing from blind­ness in the coun­try and for their treat­ment Al-Shifa Eye Trust is con­struct­ing a sep­a­rate hos­pi­tal which will be the first for the chil­dren in the re­gion.
