Zarb-e-Azb has achieved vital success: President
President Mamnoon Hussain said that Operation Zarb-e-Azb has achieved significant successes and emphasized that the government is determined to continue the operation till complete elimination of the last terrorist.
The President said this while talking to Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sardar Mehtab Ahmed Khan, who called on him at the Aiwan-eSadr, Islamabad on Wednesday. The President underlined the need to introduce constructive reforms in Federally Administered Tribal Area (FATA) to address the issues of the people of the region adding that the government was sincerely taking measures in this regard by taking all the stakeholders on board. The President said that the government was committed to bring the region at par with other areas of the country by completing ongoing development projects and providing socioeconomic amenities to improve the standard of life of the people of the area. Underscoring the dignified return of Temporarily Displaced Persons (TDPs) to their native areas, the President stated that timely repatriation and rehabilitation of TDPs was top priority of the government adding that the damaged infrastructure would be rebuilt and economic incentives would be provided for bringing the life back to normalcy in the region.
The President appreciated the improved security situation in FATA and KPK and commended Sardar Mehtab Ahmed Khan for taking steps for the welfare of the people. Meanwhile, President Mamnoon Hussain has said that National Vocational & Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) is rendering commendable services by imparting technical skills to the youth in order to raise their social and economic profile and enable them to play their role in the national development. The President said this while talking to Executive Director NAVTTC, Mr. Zulfiqar Cheema, who called on him at the Aiwan-e-Sadr, Islamabad on Wednesday. The President said that the government is committed to build the capacity of the youth through various skill development programmes enabling them to get different vocational and technical jobs thereby reducing unemployment in the country. The President asked the ED NAVTTC to establish linkages among various stakeholders at the national as well as international level in order to make the technical programmes more effective.
