Ko­hat, Karak to have in­dus­trial es­tates soon

Min­is­ter for Law, Khy­ber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Im­tiaz Shahid Qureshi on Fri­day said the pro­vin­cial govern­ment will set-up in­dus­trial es­tates each in Ko­hat and Karak dis­tricts where 10,000 skilled youth would be ad­justed. Talk­ing to a del­e­ga­tion from Lachi area here at his of­fice, he said the govern­ment has iden­ti­fied and al­lo­cated 500 acre of land each in Ko­hat and Karak dis­tricts and work on the two es­tates would soon be started.

He said tech­ni­cal train­ing would be pro­vided to youths to ad­just them in new in­dus­trial es­tates, adding that ap­prox­i­mately 10,000 skilled youth would get jobs un­der the pro­gramme. The Min­is­ter said that the pro­vin­cial govern­ment is also con­sid­er­ing to es­tab­lish air­port in Ko­hat near the new in­dus­trial es­tate to fa­cil­i­tate the lo­cal peo­ple as well as in­dus­tri­al­ists.

He said a new era of pros­per­ity and de­vel­op­ment would usher with the es­tab­lish­ment of the two new in­dus­trial es­tates and would im­prove so­cio-eco­nomic con­di­tions of the peo­ple be­sides pro­vid­ing job op­por­tu­ni­ties to thou­sands of youth.
