Rahila Dur­rani calls on Dar

Newly-elected Speaker of Balochis­tan As­sem­bly, Rahila Dur­rani here on Tues­day called on Fi­nance Min­is­ter, Sen­a­tor Mo­ham­mad Ishaq Dar.

The Min­is­ter fe­lic­i­tated her on be­ing unan­i­mously elected as the first ever woman speaker of the Balochis­tan As­sem­bly adding it was in­deed a great hon­our and a trib­ute to her ser­vices for the coun­try and the prov­ince, a state­ment said is­sued by Min­istry of Fi­nance. The Speaker said she had a vi­sion to serve Balochis­tan, adding that peo­ple of prov­ince also con­trib­uted for bet­ter­ment of the coun­try. Rahila Dur­rani said that peo­ple of Balochis­tan had great re­spect and re­gard for Prime Min­is­ter, Muhammed Nawaz Sharif as they sin­cerely be­lieved that un­der the PML-N lead­er­ship, vis­i­ble eco­nomic progress had been achieved in the prov­ince. She said it would be her pri­or­ity to fur­ther strengthen the ef­forts aimed at wel­fare of the peo­ple. Fi­nance Min­is­ter ap­pre­ci­ated Rahila Dur­rani's re­solve for well be­ing of the peo­ple of Balochis­tan and said the fed­eral govern­ment would keep up its ef­forts for de­vel­op­ment of the prov­ince. Se­nior of­fi­cials of the Min­istry of Fi­nance were present in the meet­ing.
