Provinces urged to build con­sen­sus for de­vel­op­ment

Min­is­ter for In­for­ma­tion and Broad­cast­ing Pervez Rashid on Sun­day urged the lo­cal ad­min­is­tra­tion of all the provinces to build con­sen­sus for the sake of coun­try's de­vel­op­ment.

While talk­ing to me­dia af­ter at­tend­ing the Or­ange Fes­ti­val in Tax­ila, Pervez Rasheed said govern­ment wants to move for­ward on the path of progress and de­vel­op­ment of the coun­try and for this pur­pose ini­ti­ated nu­mer­ous projects. He said that Na­tional Ac­count­abil­ity Bureau (NAB) in­ter­feres in the un­der dis­cus­sion projects. Re­fer­ring to Prime Min­is­ter Nawaz Sharif s re­cent state­ment re­gard­ing Na­tional NAB, the Min­is­ter said it was aimed to point out hur­dles in the way of de­vel­op­ment. The Min­is­ter said the present govern­ment launched de­vel­op­ment projects in such a large num­ber which were not ini­ti­ated in the last sixty-five years. He said some of the projects have been com­pleted and work on oth­ers is con­tin­u­ing. He said the Prime Min­is­ter also talked about other reg­u­lar­i­ties au­thor­i­ties which de­layed the process of deci- sion mak­ing and re­sul­tantly de­vel­op­ment projects are de­layed. He said th­ese au­thor­i­ties should work with the re­quired speed.
