Rights given to women by Is­lam un­prece­dented: She­hbaz

LA­HORE: Pun­jab Chief Min­is­ter Muham­mad She­hbaz Sharif on Tues­day said that he was ' Khadim' of the en­tire na­tion and ser­vice was his mis­sion. He stated this dur­ing a func­tion held in con­nec­tion with In­ter­na­tional Day of Women at Ai­wan-e-Iqbal here. The Chief Min­is­ter men­tioned the women rights and their dig­nity in a highly thought pro­vok­ing man­ner. Re­fer­ring to the life of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and teach­ings of Qu­ran in this re­gard, the Chief Min­is­ter said that the rights given to women by Is­lam are un­prece­dented. An ex­cel­lent doc­u­men­tary film was also ex­hib­ited re­gard­ing Tehrik-e-Pak­istan to Tameer-e-Pak­istan in the func­tion. She­hbaz Sharif be­came emo­tional by see­ing the tal­ent and strug­gle of women in the doc­u­men­tary film. He said that the ca­pa­bil­i­ties of Pak­istani women were highly valu­able and he was deeply im­pressed by see­ing this doc­u­men­tary film. Chair­per­son Pun­jab Cen­sor Board Zeba Begum said that the credit of women de­vel­op­ment went to She­hbaz Sharif and he worked day and night. She prayed that like Pun­jab, other provinces should also had a per­son like She­hbaz Sharif.
