Rights given to women by Islam unprecedented: Shehbaz
LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday said that he was ' Khadim' of the entire nation and service was his mission. He stated this during a function held in connection with International Day of Women at Aiwan-e-Iqbal here. The Chief Minister mentioned the women rights and their dignity in a highly thought provoking manner. Referring to the life of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and teachings of Quran in this regard, the Chief Minister said that the rights given to women by Islam are unprecedented. An excellent documentary film was also exhibited regarding Tehrik-e-Pakistan to Tameer-e-Pakistan in the function. Shehbaz Sharif became emotional by seeing the talent and struggle of women in the documentary film. He said that the capabilities of Pakistani women were highly valuable and he was deeply impressed by seeing this documentary film. Chairperson Punjab Censor Board Zeba Begum said that the credit of women development went to Shehbaz Sharif and he worked day and night. She prayed that like Punjab, other provinces should also had a person like Shehbaz Sharif.
