Standard Chartered Bank of Pakistan has appointed Ian Bryden and Ferdinand Pieterse as new board of directors in the place of Vinor Ramabhadran and Christos Papadopoulos for running its operations and business in Pakistan. According to the official communication, both directors' appointment is subject to the regulatory approval from State Bank of Pakistan whereas the outgoing directors already resigned from their last position at the bank.
Ian Bryden is the Country Chief Risk Officer of Standard Chartered Bank in India. He is responsible for risk governance across all of Standard Chartered's businesses in the country. Ian has been with Standard Chartered since 1995. Initially in various Corporate Banking roles in London. He was appointed Regional Credit Officer, UK & Europe in 2002 and then Regional Credit Officer, Africa in 2004. From 2009 to 2011, he was based in Hong Kong as the Chief Credit Officer, Hong Kong and Japan before moving to Mumbai to be the Regional Credit Officer for South Asia between 2011 and 2012. Ferdinand Pieterse is a Chartered Accountant by profession. He served as the Chief Operating Officer of Kelly Group Limited until February 28, 2013. Pieterse served as the Financial Director of Kelly Group Limited since July 13, 2009. He served as Chief Executive of Louis Dreyfus Commodities (Africa) and Chief Financial Officer of Citigroup Africa. He has also held various senior positions at Nedbank Group Limited including Chief Financial Officer of Nedbank Africa, Divisional Chief Internal Auditor and Senior Manager: group and central operations of Nedcor. He serves as a Director of M Squared Consulting, Inc. He serves as a Director at PAXSAL Payroll Outsourcing (Pty) Ltd.
