In­dus­tri­al­ists ex­press in­ter­est to in­vest in Balochis­tan

IS­LAM­ABAD: Fol­low­ing im­prove­ment in law and or­der sit­u­a­tion and the in­au­gu­ra­tion of CPEC, in­vestors have started tak­ing in­ter­est in in­vest­ment in Balochis­tan. Ac­cord­ing to a pri­vate news chan­nel re­port, dur­ing the past a few weeks, govern­ment has re­ceived more than five hun­dred ap­pli­ca­tions from prospec­tive in­vestors who are ready to in­vest in in­dus­trial zone in Bostan, Quetta. Of­fi­cials said that pro­cess­ing of the ap­pli­ca­tions had been started and sites would be al­lo­cated to the in­vestors soon. DG of Small In­dus­tries Depart­ment, Saira Atta said that sev­eral years ago work was stopped on Bostan In­dus­trial Es­tate due to volatile law and or­der sa­ti­a­tion. Now when sit­u­a­tion im­proved, in­vestors had started ex­press­ing their in­ter­est to set up busi­nesses there, she added. Saira Atta said that Phase-I and II had been com­pleted and fa­cil­i­ties like elec­tric­ity and wa­ter and gas are un­der­way.
