Pakistan can take benefit of Iranian market after curbs lifting: FPCCI
FPCCI Senior Vice President Khalid Tawab Wednesday said that Pakistan had an opportunity to take benefit of Iranian market after lifting of sanctions.Talking to a private news channel, the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) official said Iran wanted to supply 300 MW electricity to Pakistan and an agreement in that regards was expected during Iranian President Hassan Rouhani visit to Pakistan.
Pakistan, he said, entered a new era of trade after signing China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CEPC) agreement with China.Replying to a question, he said the Iranian President's visit was aimed at boosting economic ties with Pakistan. He said the focus would be on Iran-Pakistan pipeline project
while trade matters would also be discussed during the visit. Pakistan, he added, could export rice and other products to Iran. It may be mentioned that the Iranian President is due in Islamabad on Friday on a two-day visit to Pakistan.
