Pak­istan can take ben­e­fit of Ira­nian mar­ket af­ter curbs lift­ing: FPCCI

FPCCI Se­nior Vice Pres­i­dent Khalid Tawab Wed­nes­day said that Pak­istan had an op­por­tu­nity to take ben­e­fit of Ira­nian mar­ket af­ter lift­ing of sanc­tions.Talk­ing to a pri­vate news chan­nel, the Fed­er­a­tion of Pak­istan Cham­bers of Com­merce and In­dus­try (FPCCI) of­fi­cial said Iran wanted to sup­ply 300 MW elec­tric­ity to Pak­istan and an agree­ment in that re­gards was ex­pected dur­ing Ira­nian Pres­i­dent Has­san Rouhani visit to Pak­istan.

Pak­istan, he said, en­tered a new era of trade af­ter sign­ing China-Pak­istan Eco­nomic Cor­ri­dor (CEPC) agree­ment with China.Re­ply­ing to a ques­tion, he said the Ira­nian Pres­i­dent's visit was aimed at boost­ing eco­nomic ties with Pak­istan. He said the fo­cus would be on Iran-Pak­istan pipe­line pro­ject

while trade mat­ters would also be dis­cussed dur­ing the visit. Pak­istan, he added, could ex­port rice and other prod­ucts to Iran. It may be men­tioned that the Ira­nian Pres­i­dent is due in Is­lam­abad on Fri­day on a two-day visit to Pak­istan.
