New auto pol­icy opens door for for­eign in­vest­ment: Ja­toi

ISLAMABAD: Min­is­ter for In­dus­tries and Pro­duc­tion, Ghu­lam Mur­taza Ja­toi on Thurs­day said that new auto pol­icy an­nounced by the gov­ern­ment had opened the doors for for­eign in­vest­ment. "The car man­u­fac­tur­ers from Europe and other ar­eas of the world can ex­pand their busi­ness by tak­ing ad­van­tage of rapidly grow­ing mid­dle class of Pak­istan, cheap la­bor and in­dus­trial friendly poli­cies of the cur­rent gov­ern­ment," the min­is­ter said while talk­ing to Be­laru­sian Am­bas­sador to Pak­istan here. He said af­ter the an­nounce­ment of the new auto pol­icy, in­vestors from Ger­many, France and Be­larus had ex­pressed their in­ter­est in Pak­istan's auto in­dus­try. Ja­toi said var­i­ous West­ern coun­tries were con­sid­er­ing to in­vest in Pak­istan af­ter ini­ti­at­ing China-Pak­istan Eco­nomic Cor­ri­dor project. The gov­ern­ment's pru­dent mea­sures to re­vive na­tional econ­omy has be­come, suc­cess­ful be­sides ef­forts against ter­ror­ism.
