ISLAMABAD: Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has said that gas load-shedding has been reduced to lowest level as a result of concrete steps taken by the incumbent government. Talking to a private news channel, he said uninterrupted gas supply was being ensured to industrial sector, gasified power plants and fertilizers for smooth production in all sectors. He said Pakistan had signed cheapest and fair deal of Liquified Natural Gas ( LNG) with Qatar and many international organizations have acknowledged the agreement. The minister said Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) was on top of the list when it comes to gas theft, as gas was being stolen in the province more than any other part of the country. He said that KPK government had officially been approached to stop gas theft in the province but no step has been taken for the purpose.
