Im­ran's 'solo flight' could dam­age joint op­po­si­tion: Khur­shid Shah

Leader of the Op­po­si­tion in the Na­tional As­sem­bly Khur­shid Shah has said that Pak­istan Tehreek-e-In­saf's ' solo flight' against the gov­ern­ment could dam­age the joint op­po­si­tion, re­ported Thurs­day.

Shah said that the rea­son be­hind fail­ure of Im­ran Khan's sit-in protest in 2014 was solo flight and he is do­ing the same now. While talk­ing about Sindh and its gov­ern­ment af­fairs, he said that credit for peace in Karachi goes to the police.

He said that Pak­istan Peo­ple's Party does not ob­ject to Rangers spe­cial pow­ers but it should not give a per­cep­tion of a state within a state. He fur­ther said that to abide by the law is manda­tory for ev­ery in­sti­tu­tion.Shah's state­ment has come in as re­ac­tion to Im­ran Khan's call for protest against the gov­ern­ment start­ing from Au­gust 7 for al­leged cor­rup­tion and ill state of af­fairs.
