Orchid show set in Quezon City Aug. 31-Sept. 10, 2018

THE PHILIPPINE Orchid Society (POS) will hold its 72nd Midyear Orchid & Garden Show from August 31 to September 10, 2018 at the Quezon Memorial Circle in Quezon City.

The show will highlight the world renowned Waling-Waling ( Vanda sanderiana) which is endemic to the Philippine­s, particular­ly in the lush forests of Mindanao.

Many other orchid species and hybrids will also be featured in the landscape exhibits together with a lot of flowering and foliage ornamental­s. There will be commercial stalls where the buying public can obtain their favorite orchids and ornamental plants, as well as garden supplies like fertilizer­s, potting media, sprayers, pots and other containers. There will also be daily lectures on orchid growing and gardening conducted by experience­d resource persons.
