GOING THE DISTANCE
With a recently launched new tagline that reads, “Care naturally,” Pet One is back on their 13th year with Dog Care on Wheels, promoting responsible pet ownership on June 2 at Robinsons Novaliches.
Pet One provided free anti-rabies vaccination and multivitamins for dogs and cats through Dog Care on Wheels, along with basic grooming as part of their to pet lovers and their furbabies, such as Bring Me and Trip to Jerusalem.
But what dogs enjoyed most was the eating contest. One particular dog had too much fun that he helped himself to another dog’s bowl after
Contest winners received three kilograms each of Pet One Adult Maintenance Dog Food with a consolation prize of 100 grams Pet One Dogibeef draw winners each received Pet One Adult Maintenance Dog Food, while the grand prize kilos of Pet One Pet Choice.
Spectators also had fun watching pets parade their back-to-school costumes in the fashion show.
Rafael Feliciano’s dog Coco was heralded champion of the runway and took home a cash prize, an 18 kilograms of Adult Maintenance Dog Food, an adult wet can, treats and shampoo. Charlie Dela Cruz’ dog Ycco won second place and Candy Trinidad’s dog Shamcey was third.
As for special awards, the Best Pair went to Bing Lim and her cat Princess; Ma. Kristina
Badajos and her dog Chikchik won Pet One’s Choice; and the Star of the Day was Jake Lacorte’s dog, Coco.
Dog Care on Wheels also invited veterinarians and pet owners to talk about how to handle pet dogs and cats. Animal Kingdom Foundation (AKF) responsible pet ownership and talked about how dog meat trade was still rampant in the Philippines. They also asked the audience to donate to their rescue center caring for dogs that were rescued on their way to the slaughterhouse.
Pet One discussed the importance of caring for pets naturally with their product lineup.
“We would like to show furparents that Pet One truly cares for their pets, which is why we provide healthy pet food. We are proud that we don’t use preservatives to prolong the shelf life of our products,” said Pet One Marketing Associate Beatrice Hermano.
Dog Care on Wheels provides ways for pet owners to take better care of their pets. “That’s why we do our part for the community by conducting free checkups and consultations which we’ve been doing for years now.”
The Quezon City Health anti-rabies vaccination at the event, while Avli-biocare provided Advantix Tick & Flea Spot-on Treatment and multivitamins. Pet Love promoted their wellness app and AKF shared their goal to rescue dogs from slaughterhouses.
