With a re­cently launched new tagline that reads, “Care nat­u­rally,” Pet One is back on their 13th year with Dog Care on Wheels, pro­mot­ing re­spon­si­ble pet own­er­ship on June 2 at Robin­sons No­valiches.

Pet One pro­vided free anti-ra­bies vac­ci­na­tion and mul­ti­vi­ta­mins for dogs and cats through Dog Care on Wheels, along with ba­sic groom­ing as part of their to pet lovers and their furba­bies, such as Bring Me and Trip to Jerusalem.

But what dogs en­joyed most was the eat­ing con­test. One par­tic­u­lar dog had too much fun that he helped him­self to another dog’s bowl af­ter

Con­test win­ners re­ceived three kilo­grams each of Pet One Adult Main­te­nance Dog Food with a con­so­la­tion prize of 100 grams Pet One Dogibeef draw win­ners each re­ceived Pet One Adult Main­te­nance Dog Food, while the grand prize ki­los of Pet One Pet Choice.

Spec­ta­tors also had fun watch­ing pets pa­rade their back-to-school cos­tumes in the fash­ion show.

Rafael Feli­ciano’s dog Coco was her­alded cham­pion of the run­way and took home a cash prize, an 18 kilo­grams of Adult Main­te­nance Dog Food, an adult wet can, treats and sham­poo. Char­lie Dela Cruz’ dog Ycco won sec­ond place and Candy Trinidad’s dog Sham­cey was third.

As for spe­cial awards, the Best Pair went to Bing Lim and her cat Princess; Ma. Kristina

Bada­jos and her dog Chikchik won Pet One’s Choice; and the Star of the Day was Jake La­corte’s dog, Coco.

Dog Care on Wheels also in­vited vet­eri­nar­i­ans and pet own­ers to talk about how to han­dle pet dogs and cats. An­i­mal King­dom Foun­da­tion (AKF) re­spon­si­ble pet own­er­ship and talked about how dog meat trade was still ram­pant in the Philip­pines. They also asked the au­di­ence to donate to their res­cue cen­ter car­ing for dogs that were res­cued on their way to the slaugh­ter­house.

Pet One dis­cussed the im­por­tance of car­ing for pets nat­u­rally with their prod­uct lineup.

“We would like to show fur­par­ents that Pet One truly cares for their pets, which is why we pro­vide healthy pet food. We are proud that we don’t use preser­va­tives to pro­long the shelf life of our prod­ucts,” said Pet One Mar­ket­ing As­so­ciate Beatrice Her­mano.

Dog Care on Wheels pro­vides ways for pet own­ers to take bet­ter care of their pets. “That’s why we do our part for the com­mu­nity by con­duct­ing free check­ups and con­sul­ta­tions which we’ve been do­ing for years now.”

The Que­zon City Health anti-ra­bies vac­ci­na­tion at the event, while Avli-bio­care pro­vided Ad­van­tix Tick & Flea Spot-on Treat­ment and mul­ti­vi­ta­mins. Pet Love pro­moted their well­ness app and AKF shared their goal to res­cue dogs from slaugh­ter­houses.
