Gen. Ronald C. Villanueva, commanding general ng AFP’s Northeastern and Northern Mindanao 4th Infantry (Diamond) Division (4th ID).
"They have already come to realize the inutility of their cause, that’s why they came down and besides they are also tired of running in the mountains and they wanted to leave a peaceful life with their families," sabi ni Maj. Gen. Villanueva.
Samantala, sa Abra, kinumpirma ni Northern Luzon spokesman and Public Information Office chief Lt. Col.
"NoLCom will keep its doors open for negotiations and will continue to engage all stakeholders to encourage more members of the Communist Terrorist Groups to lay down their arms and become a productive citizen that will contribute to nation- building," pahayag ni Nato.
