“The DOJ’s participation, I believe, will be to review the terms of reference for the selection of the third telco, the contracts to be executed, the grant of licenses and permits, etc. to ensure compliance with all applicable laws, rules and regulations,” aniya.

Sinabi rin niya na makikipagugnayan ang DoJ sa Office of the Solicitor General (OSG) hinggil sa posibilidad na bumuo ng isang panel.

“Will discuss this with OSG next week,” pahayag ni Guevarra.

“We have not received the directive yet. But NTC (National Telecommunications Commission) has referred something about the grant of CPCN (certificate of public convenience and necessity) to the 3rd telco for legal opinion,” ayon kay Guevarra.

Una nang sinabi ni Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Secretary Eliseo Rio na ang ikatlong telecommunications player ay mapipili sa Oktubre.
