PCSO Bandera Cup flags off today

AS part of its 27th anniversary celebration, Inquirer Bandera will stage a benefit race Saturday afternoon at the MetroTurf Racing Complex in Malvar, Batangas.

Dubbed as the PCSO-Bandera Cup, the 1,400-meter horse race is sponsored by the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office and will share its proceeds to the Inquirer Newsboy Foundation.

Scheduled for the fifth race of the day, the PCSO-Bandera Cup carries a guaranteed gross prize of P150,000 plus trophy to the winner.

Headlining the race are heavy favorites Precious Jewel and Wawrinka with longshots Clan Leader and Buenos Aires playing the role of spoilers.

Also expect coupled entry Sea Master and Masumax to steal the show for their fancied rivals.

Completing the lineup for Race 5 are Yoshiko, Queen Hayley, My Priviledge, Ilovehenry and Final Impact.

The 2nd Bandera Benefit Racing Festival is also co-presented by Boysen Paints, Unilab, EEG Development Corp. and the Bandera Mobile App.

Inquirer Bandera, one of the leading daily tabloid newspapers in the country today, turned 27 last September 10.

The 2nd Bandera Benefit Racing Festival begins in Race 2 with the Bandera-EEG Development Corp. race which has a guaranteed gross prize of P120,000 plus P5,000 added to the winner.

At Race 3 is the BanderaBoysen Paints race which also has a guaranteed gross prize of P120,000 plus P5,000 added to the winner.

At Race 6 is the BanderaUnilab race which also has a guaranteed gross prize of P120,000 plus P5,000 added to the winner.

Capping the benefit racing festival is the Bandera Mobile App race which has a guaranteed gross prize of P120,000 plus P5,000 added to the winner.
