Estrada bilib sa grads ng livelihood project
BUMILIB si Manila Mayor Joseph “Erap” Estrada sa 1,013 bagong graduate ng iba't-ibang kurso na inaalok ng lokal na pamahalaan na magagamit nila para makapagsimula ng sarili nilang negosyo, isang proyekto sa ilalim ng Manila Manpower Development Center (MMDC).
"I am so impressed that the participants, in spite of their age, promptly took up our offer for various courses at the Manila Manpower Development Center for 20 days,” ani Estrada sa seremonya sa San Andres Sports Complex. “I salute them for their intention to improve their lives and give inspirations."
Kabilang sa mga kursong inaalok ng MMDC ang Baking, Beauty Care, Bed Sheet and Pillow Case Making, Cooking and Food Processing, Curtain Making, Food and Beverage, Hotel and Restaurant Services, Housekeeping, Massage Therapy.
"Manila has the highest rate of poverty incidence and the most number of jobless individuals. This program is just part of our unending efforts to provide you with all your needs to find a job or start up your own businesses,” dagdag ng alkalde.
Ang proyekto ay may slogan na “Bata at matanda, alaga sa Maynila."
