DTI rolls out MSME financing program in Region 9

THE ZAMBOANGA PENINSULA office of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) has rolled-out the Pondo para sa Pagbabago at Pag-asenso or P3 program, with about 25-microfinance institutions tapped to serve as loan access points for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the region. Rolando G. Acuña, DTI-9 assistant regional director, said they have completed the accreditation process and are now ready to process financing applications from the MSMEs. “We are very excited with the rollout of the program because this is the vision of the DTI, to help the underprivileged, and give them better chances to grow their business and alleviate them from poverty,” Mr. Acuña said.
