Shangri-La’s Bo­ra­cay Re­sort names new gen­eral man­ager

SHANGRI-LA’s Bo­ra­cay Re­sort & Spa, Philip­pines an­nounces the ap­point­ment of Dave Junker as the new gen­eral man­ager of Bo­ra­cay is­land’s pre­mier lux­ury re­sort.

A Lux­em­bourg na­tional, Mr. Junker is a sea­soned hote­lier with close to two decades in the hos­pi­tal­ity in­dus­try. Be­fore join­ing Shangri-La’s Bo­ra­cay Re­sort & Spa, Philip­pines, his re­cent ap­point­ment was at ShangriLa Ho­tel at the Fort, Manila.

He was also as­signed at other Shangri-La ho­tels in South­east Asia, in­clud­ing Sule Shangri-La, Yan­gon in Myan­mar, Shangri-La Ho­tel, Chi­ang Mai and Shangri-La Ho­tel, Bangkok in Thai­land, and Shangri-La’s Mac­tan Re­sort & Spa, Cebu in the Philip­pines.

Prior to join­ing Shangri-La, Mr. Junker had also been sta­tioned in other parts of Europe and Asia, in­clud­ing at lux­ury ho­tels in the UK, US, In­dia and the UAE.
