Comfortable class—this is the atmosphere of Canvas Bistro Bar & Gallery. Patterned after Sydney's stylish restaurants, this place o ers Modern Australian Cuisine at its best. The menu here is all about innovative combinations of local produce and imported ingredients cooked using Western culinary techniques, all the while infusing Asian avors to suit local taste. For your starter, try the Moroccan Cous Cous Salad (P240) which has pumpkin, feta cheese, chick peas, toasted almonds, raisins, and lettuce. It's light and delicious, just as all salads should be. Follow it up with one of their best-sellers, the Pork Medallion in Grain Mustard Sauce with Tiger Prawns and Pesto Fettuccine, which is a crowd favorite for good reason. This dish is available in an entrée size (P245) for those with a not-so-big appetite and a main course size (P390), for those who come prepared to feast. But the pièce de résistance is the Aussie Prime Beef Tenderloin (P1,150)—all 220 grams of it. Served with forest mushrooms, pancetta, and balsamic jus, this is one delicious and savory steak that will have you coming back for more. End your meal on a sweet note, choosing from any of their wide selection of desserts cleverly called petite temptations. Canvas also features a bar that o ers a range of Australian wines and a popular selection of beers and spirits. Twisted cocktails as well as non-alcoholic tonics are available. The restaurant is also a gallery, featuring local artists whose lineup changes every six to eight weeks.
