Cosmopolitan (Philippines) - - Fun & Fearless - PERKS of THE Job: making it big:

reena MESIAS, 26 HOW it all began: “I became an editor in 2010, which allowed me to cover concerts and interview artists. In 2012, I heard about the 7107 International Music Festival. I wanted to help bring music to people like me, so I applied as the event’s creative content creator and manager. That’s when I knew I wanted to really pursue this career. Right now, I’m working with Boardworks Media for the Paradise International Music Festival set for next year.” not all FUN and games: “Balancing my time and energy, because I also work as a freelance graphic artist and copywriter, is a challenge. Of course, I always go back to the music. Music makes everything worth it.”

“For those who are just starting and want a load of money, there is usually none of it here. But that shouldn’t stop you from doing what you love. There is unparalleled fulfillment in this.”

A love for music drives this creative’s passion for staging some of the country’s most awaited festivals and concerts.

“The most rewarding part is seeing an idea come to life. It’s spectacular to see a crowd go wild as soon as an artist steps up. Overtime doesn’t feel like overtime at all!”
