Giving cold, hard cash or writing a check may not give you an overwhelmingly moving feeling, but never underestimate the power of cash, which many times goes a longer way, especially for particular causes that require it. The Carewell Community, for example, is a nonprofit foundation that provides free resources and services to persons living with cancer. When you help them fund projects, donate refreshments, or provide services, you sometimes get something cool in return. This year, for instance, Carewell’s token of appreciation is a collapsible grocery sorter that fits in a supermarket cart perfectly to let you store, sort, and carry your groceries quickly and easily. Carewell is located at the 6th Floor, S& L Building, Dela Rosa corner Esteban Streets Legaspi Village, Makati City; for inquiries, call (02) 815-1294.
