Cosmopolitan (Philippines) - - You, You, You -

Often you’ll have made contacts in your Good- On-paper job that lead to the Stepping-stone Job— usually the role you’ll have before your dream job. You like it, you get to use your skills, and you feel great about your contribution, but there’s no room to grow. The only place to go is out the door (with great references) to somewhere where you can continue to thrive. The other upside? “You could meet a mentor who will help you through your entire carreer,” says Woodward. “Identify people who currently hold your dream role and learn about them. What skills are vital? What training, certification, or experience is key? Then assess yourself to discover where any gaps might be, ask questions, and work on filling those gaps.”
