Change is slow…

Cosmopolitan (Philippines) - - Need To Know -

People are often resistant to new ideas, new ways of thinking, or new ways of doing things, especially if these contradict strongly held beliefs and long-persistent practices. This is especially true for people who have been denied their rights and access to opportunities such as education and jobs.

Despite knowing that we did our best to help our clients, there will always be that occasional case where we’d ask ourselves where we went wrong or where we fell short. This is what makes development work particularly challenging.
