If you don’t want to spend more time work­ing out, you can use the rest pe­riod to tar­get a dif­fer­ent mus­cle group, says lead study au­thor and trainer Brad Schoen­feld, PHD. For ex­am­ple, per­form al­ter­nat­ing lunges in be­tween sets of shoul­der presses.
