GOOD VIBES TO GO
The first Filipina to win Asia’s Next Top Model is the new face of an advocacy close to her heart.
A heart-to-heart with Maureen Wroblewitz.
“It’s all about filling your life with positivity. I like making people happy; I like smiling at strangers because you never know what a sincere smile can do for someone.”
After her game-changing win on Asia’s Next Top Model, Maureen wroblewitz is giving back by walking the runway for this month’s Fashion Can Serve, a fundraising fashion show for breast cancer awareness. “It’s a very personal cause. My mom passed away due to breast cancer, and I’m doing this for her and to empower those who are struggling with it. I want them to know that this disease can be fought and that anything is possible,” says the 19-year-old model. “Anything is possible” has been her mantra this year, after coming out on top on ANTM. “Since winning the competition, I’ve become more confident and less afraid to take risks. It has changed me as a person. Growing up, I was very, very shy, and if my mom could see how far I’ve come, I know she’d be proud of me.”
