Kim Idol passes away

Stand-up comedian Kim Idol passed away on Monday, 13 July. He was 41. Eat Bulaga host and comedian Allan K confirmed his passing via Instagram.

Kim Idol was suffering from brain arterioven­ous malformati­on or AVM. According to the mayoclinic.org, AVM is a “tangle of abnormal blood vessels connecting arteries and veins in the brain.”

Kim was a regular at Allan K’s comedy bars, Zirkoh and Klownz, which were recently permanentl­y closed. He also appeared on TV shows.

The stand-up comedian was working as a marshal of the Bureau of Quarantine at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan, which was turned into a quarantine facility for those who have tested positive for the coronaviru­s.

Kelly Preston succumbs to breast cancer

Jerry Maguire star Kelly Preston has passed away after battling breast cancer for two years, her husband, actor John Travolta, announced on 12 July (US time). She was 57.

Travolta shared that his wife had been battling the disease for two years.

He posted a loving tribute to his wife of 29 years. They have been married since 1991.

“Kelly’s love and life will always be remembered. I will be taking some time to be there for my children who have lost their mother, so forgive me in advance if you don’t hear from us for a while,” Travolta posted on his Instagram @ johntravol­ta.

The couple had three children, Ella, Jett and Benjamin. Jett passed away in 2009 aged 16.

Aishwarya Rai, husband, in-law test positive

After her husband Abhishek Bachchan and her father-in-law, Amitabh, tested positive and were admitted to the hospital, Aishwarya Rai and her daughter Aaradhya has tested positive with the virus.

Abishek confirmed the news via his Twitter account on Sunday, 12 July, while he and his father are hospitaliz­ed. Reports said both are in stable condition.

Rai and her daughter, meanwhile, are staying at home on quarantine. They are reportedly asymptomat­ic.

Rai was crowned Miss World in 1994. She married into the acting family of Bachchans, which includes her husband and father-in-law. She herself became a Bollywood fixture, starring in films and TV.

Elvis Presley grandson, 27

Lisa Marie Presley is reportedly “inconsolab­le” upon learning the death of her 27-year-old son Benjamin Keough.

TMZ broke the news of the passing of Elvis Presley’s grandson.

“She is completely heartbroke­n, inconsolab­le and beyond devastated but trying to stay strong for her 11-year-old twins and her oldest daughter Riley,” Presley’s manager Roger Widynowski said in a statement to

USA Today. “She adored that boy. He was the love of her life.”

Benjamin is the son of Lisa Marie with musician Danny Keough. He also has a sister, actress Riley Keough.
