TAOYUAN

CHINESE/SINGAPOREAN

Eats - - MANILA -

Tao Yuan used to serve only Hong Kong Cantonese dishes, but when they brought in Singaporean chefs, word of mouth about their Hainanese Chicken spread like wild!re. Even folks from the Singapore Embassy testify that Tao Yuan serves the best Singaporean food in Manila. After all, Tao Yuan was put up in 2008 by a Singaporean businessman with 15 years’ experience as distributor and exporter of shark’s !n and live seafood to Singapore. While service is quick, courteous and ef!cient, servers also ensure you order the right amount of food for your group. Freshly caught seafood can also be cooked according to your speci!cations. Dim Sum and family value meals are available as well. The prices are affordable for the level of quality you get from the food and service. For instance, eating their chili crab can be messy, but Tao Yuan will provide you with steel crab crackers and wet towelettes. Foreign Chinese patronize Tao Yuan, a good indication of the food’s authenticity and taste. As soon as a group leaves, another group replaces it so an empty table in the house is a rarity.
