GLORIA MARIS

CHINESE

Eats - - SAN JUAN -

Gloria Maris Shark’s Fin Restaurant at the Greenhills Shopping Complex has long been known for its delectable lauriat, dim sum and noodles. For its rebirth 23 years after it opened, Gloria Maris moved to its new home on Missouri Street from nearby Club Filipino Drive. The new building presents a glass circular facade that allows a view of the restaurant’s luxe interiors. The dining area is bigger and cooler, with sparkling chandeliers giving the high ceilings a shot of opulence. Leading to the spacious function rooms on the second "oor is a grand semi-spiral staircase, with a glass railing that gives the stairs the illusion of "oating. An entire wall frames the aquariums, which are interspersed with illuminated acrylic wall panels, creating wall art and a spectacular conversation piece. The cuisine remains excellent. All dishes are, according to Gloria Maris, cooked by Hong Kong chefs. Reliable favorites include Steamed Lapu-Lapu with Soy Sauce, Beef Tenderloin Chinese Style, Birthday Noodles, Hot Chicken and Prawn Salad, Suckling Pig, Peking Duck, Taro Puffs, Fried Noodles, and Wanton and Shark’s Fin Soup. The shabu-shabu of Gloria Maris uses quality meats, fresh vegetables and choicest ingredients to make "avorful soups and hot pot. The "avors of the dishes shine through, untainted by MSG or other arti!cial "avors. Gloria Maris does not impose service charges.
