Two pop­u­lar en­trepreneurs show that healthy eat­ing takes roots from the ground up.

When asked where milk comes from, some ur­ban preschool­ers would an­swer, “from a car­ton” or “at the su­per­mar­ket”. Adults would find this hu­mor­ous, but therein lies the prob­lem that mod­ern man may have lost touch with his food roots.

F&B World talks to two en­trepreneurs who lo­cate their businesses at the two ends of the food spec­trum. On the pro­duc­tion side, Se­na­tor Kiko Pangili­nan raises or­ganic pro­duce at his farm in Cavite and on the con­sumer end, celebrity food en­tre­pre­neur Er­wan Heussaff en­cour­ages people to make health­ier choices via his web­site The Fat Kid In­side and through his restau­rant ven­tures.
